It is imperative that you read and understand USPS® "Broker Requirements" -- first in the "Help" menu.
"File" menu "Site Setup" – Controls You Need to Know
First time install, took you over two hurdles quickly. The most important was USPS® required PAF registration.
The second hurdle was the USPS "Entry Point" requirement – just one item of several found in "Site Setup".
"Site Setup" controls will be of interest and worth review – always available from the "File" menu or <CTRL>+S.
File Description
Once created, the file description is saved for reuse with any address list having the same layout.

Universal Output Format
USPS
strict NCOALink® requirements made us choose a universal CSV output
format.
By default, your input file data is appended to the universal output record
resulting from the service.
Use the "Help" menu and select "Service File Format" for a complete description.
