The Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS™) is a USPS® certification program that standardizes and corrects mailing addresses to meet official postal delivery standards.

How CASS™ Works

CASS™ certification is more than simple spell-checking — it’s a data integrity process that connects your address list directly to the USPS Master Address File (MAF).
Here’s how it works inside EZ24x7:

1. Address Standardization
   Each address is parsed and reformatted to meet USPS standards — correcting abbreviations, street suffixes, ZIP Codes™, and capitalization automatically.

2. ZIP+4® Assignment
   EZ24x7 appends a ZIP+4® and Delivery Point Code (DPC) to every valid address, ensuring precise geolocation and faster delivery.

3. Address Validation & Correction
   The software compares every address to the USPS MAF database and corrects known misspellings, incomplete data, or outdated city names.

4. Error Detection & Reporting
   Any record that cannot be validated is flagged and reported in a CASS Summary Report (PS Form 3553) — proof of compliance required for USPS automated mailings.
